Relational Experience Development Seminar Series

Scientists are in the professional communication business. We write papers to that we hope other scientists will find useful. We give seminars to generate interest in our work and to engage other scientists in conversation and possible collaborations. Everyone has experienced the buzz of excitement a great talk can generate. Remarkably, despite the importance of this form of communication, there are few opportunities in scientific training to learn this discipline. Few scientists even consider that the art of oral communication is an academic discipline in its own right.

As part of a multi-year collaboration, the Center for Immunology, CTSI and the Masonic Cancer Center are committed to providing the best opportunities to all our trainees in learning the art of oral presentation. To achieve this goal we have partnered with Narrative Pros Coaching Agency. The yearly seminar series, known as the RED Seminars, standing for Relational Experience Development provides the principles of effective oral communication, examines deeper topics, and provides individual feedback.

Please join us the first Monday of every month for the 2019 seminars: Jan. 7, Feb. 4, Mar. 4, April 1 and May 6 and June 6 at 9 a.m., the seminar is held in room CCRB 1-125.  All are welcome.
