All of the graduate programs offer full tuition and a benefits package that include books, a yearly stipend and a large portion of your health care costs. But in order to establish yourself as an independent investigator you should try to get a portion or all of your own funding for the majority of your graduate work. There are a number of NIH T32 training grants and fellowships that you can apply for. Not only will the Director of Graduate Studies in your program be able to guide you but the Graduate School also has resources to aid you in the search to finance your graduate education. Start here
Training grants for graduate students
A number of NIH T32 training grants provide financial support and specialized programs of training that will allow graduate students to establish themselves as independent investigators who will pursue Immunology based research. In addition, Center for Immunology faculty members are members of a broad array of graduate programs that facilitate training in cancer-related fields.
